In this study motivation factors which increase or decreases the art teachers’ motivation were wanted to be determined. In order to perform the selected research, earlier studies had been evaluated to select pointed survey parameters. After preparation of data collecting system and survey questionnaire, the survey had been executed and the data obtained from 110 art teachers worked at state and private owned primary schools in Konya city. The results of this research are then presented here according to their frequency, percentage, arithmetic average (mean), standard deviation, t-test, variance values. These data were tested at the level p<0,05 values in analyses. After the tests, it was observed that, some parameters effecting the surveyed art teachers’ motivation meaningfully. These parameters are art teachers’ gender, age, expertise (skill) and organization type (job place). On the other hand it was not observed meaningful difference over average values for the type of schools’ governing board. This parameter was unexpectedly not effecting the art teachers’ motivation
