The Effect of Person-Supervisor Fit on Job Performance: Mediating Role of Work Engagement

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the effect of person-supervisor fit on job performance and the mediating
role of work engagement. For this purpose, data was collected through a survey from the blue-collar workers in
TR83 region and analysis and evaluations were made in the context of these data. SPSS and LISREL programs
were used in the analysis of the data. Process macro plug-in developed by Hayes (2022) was used to test the
mediation hypothesis. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that work engagement mediates the relationship between person-supervisor fit and job performance. In the light of the findings, suggestions were
developed for researchers and practitioners.

Kişi-Yönetici Uyumunun İş Performansı Üzerine Etkisi: İşe Bağlanmanın Aracı Rolü

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, kişi-yönetici uyumunun iş performansı üzerine etkisinde işe bağlanma düzeyinin aracı
rolünün incelenmesidir. Bu amaçla TR 83 bölgesindeki mavi yakalı çalışanlardan anket yoluyla veri toplanmış ve
bu veriler bağlamında analiz ve değerlendirmeler yapılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde SPSS ve LISREL programları
kullanılmıştır. Aracılık hipotezinin test edilmesinde Hayes (2022) tarafından geliştirilmiş olan Process makro
eklentisinden yararlanılmıştır. Analizler sonucunda işe bağlanmanın kişi-yönetici uyumu ve iş performansı
arasındaki etkileşime aracılık ettiği tespit edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular ışığında araştırmacı ve uygulayıcılara
öneriler geliştirilmiştir.
