Juniperus excelsa (Cupressaceae) Türünün Uçucu Yağ Kompozisyonu

Abstract

Bu çalışmada Juniperus excelsa Bieb. türüne ait uçucu yağların belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Uçucu yağlar su distilasyon yöntemi ile Clevenger apareyi kullanılarak elde edilirken, kimyasal analizler için de GC ve GC/MS kullanılmıştır. Bitkinin uçucu yağ verimi oldukça yüksek olup 1.7 (v/w) olarak saptanmıştır. Tespit edilen doksan dört bileşen Juniperus excelsa ‘dan elde edilen toplam yağın yaklaşık olarak %91.7’sini oluşturmaktadır. Juniperus excelsa’nın ana bileşenleri; α-pinen (19.7%), epi-sedrol (17.8%), 2,4 dekadienal-1-ol (4.2%) ve d-kadinen (4.2%) olarak belirlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak bu çalışmayla J. excelsa türünün α-pinen ve epi-sedrol kemotipinde olduğu söylenebilir.

Composition of the Essential Oil of Juniperus excelsa (Cupressaceae)

Abstract

In this study, the essential oil composition of Juniperus excelsa Bieb. (Cupressaceae) was determined. The essential oil were obtained by hydrodistillation in Clevenger-type apparatus, and chemical analyses were performed by GC and GC–MS. The essential oils yield is very high and 1.7 (v/w). Ninety four constituents were comprised the 91.7 % of the total essential oil extracted from the Juniperus excelsa. The predominant compounds of Juniperus excelsa were determined as α-pinene (19.7%), epi-cedrol (17.8%), 2.4 decadienal 1-ol (4.2%), δ-cadinene (4.2%). In conclusion, this study demonstrates the occurrence of α-pinene and epi-cedrol chemotype of J. excelsa.
