2,4-D (Dichlorophenoxy Acetic Acid) herbicide belongs to the chlorinated phenoxy acid group. It is widely preferred for the control of aquatic plants, on public lawns, agricultural lands and the broad-leaved plants along roadsides. It poses threats to human and environmental health as it is a very wide spreading area. In this study; sub-lethal effects of 2.4-D dichlorophenoxy acetic acid pesticide different doses (0.35 mg / L and 0.70 mg / L) on the 7-14 and 21 days in carp (Cyprinus carpio) hematological parameters (hemoglobin (HGB), hematocrit) (HCT), erythrocyte (RBC), leukocyte (WBC), platelet (PLT), mean erythrocyte volume (MCV), mean hemoglobin per erythrocyte (MCH), mean hemoglobin concentration per erythrocyte (MCHC)] and swimming performance were investigated. For leukocyte, thrombocyte, MCV and MCHC values among hematological parameters, dose, time and dose x time interaction effects were determined to be significant (p <0.05). The effects of main variation sources were found to be significant among other parameters (p <0.05). When the critical swimming speed results were evaluated, it was determined that there were changes between the control and application groups, but these changes were insignificant (p <0.05).
