Voice Controlled Disabled Person Vehicle Design

Abstract

In recent years, significant advances in the health care field have taken place by using robotic technology. Today, using robotic technology has become a necessity to facilitate the lives of disabled people and enable them to continue their daily lives easily. In this study, a voice controlled disabled person vehicle is designed to facilitate the lives of disabled people suffering from spinal cord injury, paralyzed from the neck down for reasons arising from innate, forced to a wheelchair or bed who cannot use their hands. For controlling the designed vehicle, five different voice algorithms as “forward”, “backward”, right”, “left”, “stop”, and a comparison algorithm for these voice algorithms are presented. With the designed vehicle and software, the disabled person vehicle is provided them to control by voice commands.

Ses Denetimli Engelli İnsan Aracı Tasarımı

Abstract

Son yıllarda, sağlık alanında robotik teknolojisinin kullanımı ile birlikte önemli gelişmeler yaşanmaktadır. Günümüzde, engelli bireylerin yaşamlarını kolaylaştırabilmek ve günlük yaşantılarına rahatlıkla devam etmelerini sağlayabilmek için robotik teknolojisinin kullanılması gereklilik haline gelmiştir. Bu çalışmada, omurilik zedelenmesi geçiren, doğuştan kaynaklanan sebeplerle boyundan aşağısı felç olup yatağa bağımlı olan veya tekerlekli sandalyeye bağımlı olup elini kullanamayan engelli bireylerin hayatını kolaylaştırmak için ses denetimli bir araç tasarlanmıştır. Tasarlanan aracı kontrol edebilmek için “ileri”, “geriye”, “sağa”, “sola” ve “dur” şeklinde beş farklı ses algoritması ve bu algoritmaları karşılaştıran bir algoritma hazırlanmıştır. Yapılan tasarım ve yazılımlar sayesinde, engelli bireylerin ses komutları ile aracı kontrol etmesi sağlanmıştır.
