Abstract

Today, the demands and needs of the home user are increasing day by day. Creating larger spaces to fulfill all these wants and needs is a challenge. In this sense, instead of moving to a larger housing unit, multifunctional solutions that fullfill the needs of more people are required. In this article, smart furniture, which is a part of smart home systems, has been examined together with today's needs and technology trends. The article is important in terms of seeing the general perspective of the logic of smart furniture and examining the potential orientations of smart furniture. In the article, smart furniture is classified according to its current distribution, and its advantages and disadvantages are revealed. In this respect, it is expected that this study will also have an unifying effect impact on the existing literature.
