SOVYET TARİH ARAŞTIRMALARI İÇİN ÖNEMLİ BİR KAYNAK: HARVARD MÜLAKAT PROJESİ

Abstract

Sovyet Sosyal Sistemi Hakkında Harvard Projesi, genellikle “Harvard Mülakat Projesi” olarak bilinmektedir. Soğuk Savaş’ın ilk yıllarında Sovyetler Birliği’nden mültecilerle yapılan görüşmelerin bir derlemesi olan ve sözlü tarih kaynakları olarak çerçevelenen Harvard Projesi transkriptleri, II. Dünya Savaşı sonrası Sovyet göçmenlerinin geçmişlerini nasıl anlamlandırdıklarına dair zengin ve yeni anlayışlar sunmaktadır. Pek çok araştırmacı Harvard Projesi transkriptlerini gerçeklerin hafızası olarak değerlendirmiştir. Söz konusu transkriptler yakından ve bağlamlarına dikkat ederek okunduğu zaman, Sovyet göçmenlerinin geçmişe dair hatırladıklarının ötesine bakılabileceği açıktır. Bu yaklaşımın benimsenmesinin, Sovyet toplumu tarihinin yeniden inşasında önemli bir adım olduğu şüphe götürmemektedir. Proje sonuçları sadece Stalin dönemindeki Sovyet sisteminin doğasının resmini doldurmaya hizmet etmekle kalmayıp aynı zamanda Sovyet yaşamındaki değişiklikleri değerlendirmek için de temel bir çizgi sunmaktadır. Harvard Mülakat Projesine ilişkin Türkçe literatürde herhangi bir müstakil çalışma bulunmamaktadır. Makalemizde Harvard Mülakat Projesinin kapsamı, sınırlılıkları ve Sovyet tarih araştırmalarındaki önemine dair genel bir bakış sunmak amaçlanmıştır.
