Abstract

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine the postgraduate theses on servant leadership by bibliometric analysis. For this purpose, 89 theses belonging to the years 2008-2021 in the National Thesis Center of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) were analyzed. The university, year and publication language of the theses, the research methods used in the theses, the variables studied with the servant leadership and the servant leadership scales used were determined. As a result of the research, it is seen that 70 of the theses are master's theses and 19 of them are doctoral theses. In 2017 (n= 12) and 2019 (n= 12) the highest number of master's thesis; It is understood that 2015 was the year in which the most doctoral dissertations (n= 5) were published. It is known that the publication language of the theses is mainly Turkish and they are carried out in the Department of Business Administration. Within the scope of master's theses, the most frequently studied variables together with servant leadership were demographic factors (n=15) and organizational commitment (n= 11); it was determined that there was job satisfaction (n= 6) in doctoral theses. It is understood that the method used by 90% of the master's theses and all of the doctoral theses is the quantitative method. It is known that researchers use the scale developed by Van Dierendonck and Nuijten (2011), to measure servant leadership in master's and doctoral theses prepared with the quantitative method. It is seen that the master's degree on servant leadership was mainly carried out in the public sector (n= 32) and the doctoral theses were mainly carried out in the private sector (n= 10).
