The Treatment of Bite Wounds of Lambs which were Attacked by Stray Dogs in Gevas Vicinity in Van Province

Abstract

In this study, it was evaluated that an average of 8 months of age of 20 lambs which got lost moving away from the sheep pen and got wounded being exposed the attack of a group of stray dogs. The bite wounds were in the head, neck, nape, chin, pharynx, larynx, chest, abdomen and pelvic regions, testes, hind lims and tails. The suitable surgical and medical treatments were applied. In such cases if the bite wounds were throat region It should be careful about asphyxia and attention for rabies

Van İli Gevaş Yöresinde Sokak Köpeği Saldırısına Uğrayan Kuzularda Oluşan Isırık Yaralarının Sağaltımı

Abstract

Bu çalışmada materyali, Van’ın Gevaş ilçesi yöresinde, gece ağıldan uzaklaşarak bir gurup sokak köpeğinin saldırısına maruz kalan, baş, boyun, ense, farinks, larinks, gögüs, karın altı, pelvis bölgesi, testisler, arka bacak ve kuyruk bölgelerinden ısırılarak yaralanan, yaşları ortalama 8 aylık, 20 adet kuzu oluşturdu. Çalışmaya konu olan hayvanların cerrahi ve medikal sağaltımları usulüne uygun olarak gerçekleştirildi. Bu tip olgularda, ısırma yarası özellikle boyun bölgesinde meydana gelmişse asfeksi riskine daima dikkat edilmesi ayrıca kuduz açısından da hayvanların kontrol altında bulundurulması gerekmektedir..
