Abstract

Son yıllarda mera alanlarındaki azalma ile koyun yetiştiriciliği olumsuz etkilenmiştir. Bu yüzden koyunculukta verimi arttırmak
için değişik uygulamalara başvurulmaktadır. Östrus kontrolü de bu yöntemlerden biridir. Modern koyun yetiştiriciliğinde
östrusu uyarma veya östrus senkronizasyonu için farklı yöntemlere başvurulmaktadır. Bu yöntemler ya değişik hormonların
verilmesi ya da doğal yöntemlerle östrus siklusunun kontrol edilmesi ile gerçekleştirilmektedir. Bu derlemede östrus
senkronizasyonunda veya östrusu uyarmada kullanılan yöntemler hakkında bilgi verilmektedir.

Estrus Synchronization and Induction of Estrus Methods in Sheep

Abstract

Sheep production has been affected negatively because of reducing in natural pasture field in recent years. Therefore, different
application is applied for increasing productivity in sheep production. Also, controlling of estrous is one of the methods in these
applications. Different methods are used for induction of estrus or estrous synchronization in modern sheep husbandry. These
methods are implemented by controlling estrous cycle either by providing different hormones or natural methods. In this review,
knowledge about estrous synchronization or estrus induction methods is given.
