Abstract

In this study we aimed to examine the volatile components of Sideritis pisidica Boiss. & Heldr. samples collected from lower and higher elevations. The analysis of volatile components was performed using the Headspace Solid-Phase Microextraction (HS-SPME) method with three replicates. The samples used in this study were collected from the Sultandağı Region in Afyonkarahisar province. As a result of the study, a total of 90 volatile components were identified across the two elevations, 55 of which were common to both, while 8 were found only at the lower elevation and 27 only at the higher elevation. Additionally, the percentage of volatile components at the lower elevation was 70.0%, whereas at the higher elevation it increased to 91.1%. It was observed that trans-Caryophyllene and trans-beta-Farnesene had the highest mean concentrations at both elevations. The variability in the volatile components and their proportions could be attributed to several factors, including environmental conditions (geographical location, soil properties, humidity, temperature, elevation, etc.), the phenological stage of the plant (growth stage), the plant part used for volatile oil extraction, the type of material (fresh or dried), the method used for volatile oil extraction, and the collection time of the plant.

Farklı Yükseltilerde Dağçayı (Sideritis pisidica Boiss. & Heldr.)’nın Uçucu Bileşenleri

Year 2024, Volume: 20 Issue: 2, 15 - 27, 28.12.2024

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Sideritis pisidica Boiss. & Heldr.’nin farklı yükseltilerden (alt ve üst rakım) toplanan örneklerinin uçucu bileşenlerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Uçucu bileşen analizi HS-SPME (Tepe Boşluğu – Katı Faz Mikro Ekstraksiyon) yöntemi kullanılarak, üç tekerrürlü olacak şekilde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmada kullanılan örnekler, Afyonkarahisar ili Sultandağı Yöresi’nden toplanmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda iki farklı yükseltide toplamda 90 uçucu bileşen tespit edilmiş olup, bunların 55’i her iki yükseltide ortak bulunurken, 8’i sadece alt rakımda, 27’si ise sadece üst rakımda saptanmıştır.
