Pregnancy and Sertoli-Leydig Cell Tumor of the Ovary: A Case Report
Abstract
Adnexal mass in pregnancy rates of occurrence of widespread use of ultrasonography increased to 8%, although only 5% of their malignant. The incidence of malignant ovarian tumors in pregnancy about the exact figures is not available but in the most recent reviews, it is reported as 1 in 20,000 births. Although ovarian sex-cord stromal tumors during pregnancy are seen very rare, the most common type is granulosa-cell tumor among ovarian sex-cord stromal tumors. Recommended treatment which is the same in non-pregnant and pregnant patients group, is salpingooophorectomy and surgical staging. Total abdominal hysterectomy and bilateral salingoooferektomi in selected cases is required.
