The media lists the importance
of the information to be disclosed to the publicand allows it to be presented or
learned in a specific order by filtering. It determines what information is
important for the public; for example, by making a news on the first page of
the newspaper, or by magnifying their photographs or presenting them with large
dottitles, they dictate a news to the public. This study aims to present an
application for measuring the similarity of the agenda of the newspapers with the
new method of network analysis which is being used in communication research. The
problematic of there search was questioned whether there was a similar relationship
between the subject links in the headlines of the newspapers. Hürriyet, Sabah,
Sözcü, Posta and HaberTürk newspapers with the highest circulation were sampled.
These newspapers were analyzed with the headline news content analysis and
network analysis method within 6 months. It has been found that there is
similarity between the subject links of all newspapers. Hürriyet, Sabah,
HaberTürk and Posta newspapers have high similar linkages. Only the similarity between
Sözcü and other newspapers is scarce.
