İŞLETMELERDE STRATEJİK BİLGİ SİSTEMLERİ YÖNETİMİ VE REKABET ÜSTÜNLÜĞÜ ELDE EDİLMESİNDEKİ ROLÜ

Abstract

İşletme yönetiminde bilgi ve bilgi işlemeye olan gereksinim geçmişte bir rekabet aracı olarak pek ilgi görmemiştir. Günümüzde ise doğru, zamanlı ve yerinde bilgi işletmelere rekabette üstünlük sağlayabilmektedir. Bu doğrultuda, işletmenin çevresinden toplanan bilgileri belirli bir düzen içerisinde işletmeye aktararak ilgili kullanıcı gruplarına sunan bilgi sistemlerinin önemi işletmeler için artmaya başlamıştır. Öyle ki bilgi sistemlerini, stratejilerini uygulamada bir araç ve destek olarak kullanabilen işletmeler rekabet yarışında bir adım daha öne gitmeyi başarmışlardır. Bu çalışmada stratejik bilgi sistemleri yönetimi üzerinde durulmuş ve stratejik bilgi sistemlerinin işletmelere ne şekilde rekabet üstünlüğü sağlayabileceği incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Stratejik bilgi sistemleri yönetiminin bir parçası olan stratejik bilgi sistemleri planlamasının amaçları ve yaklaşımları anlatılmıştır. Ayrıca örgütsel yetkinliklerin geliştirilmesinde stratejik bilgi sistemlerinin rolü incelenmiştir

Abstract

In the past corporate management did not pay much attention to information and information processing as a competitive weapon. But in today’s environment, correct and timely information in the right place can give some advantages to firms. Therefore, information systems, which collects information from the firm’s environment and serves the right information on-time to the user groups that need it, are becoming more and more important for firms. Moreover, firms which use information systems as a support when implementing their strategies are becoming more competent in the market place. In this paper, strategic information systems and how these systems can be used to achieve competitive advantage is analysed. Then, strategic information systems planning, its objectives and approaches about it is told. In addition, the role of information systems in improving organizational competencies that can be a factor to enhance competitive advantage is analysed.
