Dependency of Import and Export of Turkey: An Ampirical Application for Selected Countries
Abstract
In this study, it was analysed thatimport and export transactions, whichcarried out with France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Spain, Great Britain, Belgium, Luxemburg, Denmark, Russia, the U.S., Iran, Saudi Arabia, China, United Arab Emirates and Iraq whether are dependent one onether, in the period 1990:M01-2012:M09.First of all, it was analysed whether series of import and export have contain unit root with Augmented Dickey-Fuller (1979), Zivot-Andrew (1992) and LumsdainePapell (1997) unit root tests. As a result of these tests, it was determined series have contain unit root. Then, it was used Hatemi-J test to able to undestand whether there is a cointegration between import and export. As a result of this test, it was determined that there is a cointegration between import and export and it was concluded that there is a dependence in transactions of import and export, which is the subject of study of Turkey carried out this 16 countries
