YÖNETİMİN İRRASYONEL YÜZÜ: ÖRGÜTSEL İŞLEV BOZUKLUKLARI VE ANALİZİ

Abstract

Geleneksel yönetim teorisinin temel varsayımlarından biri örgütlerde çalışan insanların yerine getirdikleri eylemlerin verimlilik ve etkinlik kriterlerine göre yapılması gerektiğidir. Bir diğer varsayım ise temellerini örgütteki insanların mantıksal neden-sonuç ilişkilerine dayalı olarak yönetilmesi prensibi olan rasyonel yaklaşıma dayandırmaktadır. Aynı zamanda modern yönetim teorisinin temelinde de genel kabul gören rasyonellik anlayışı, örgütlerin hedeflerine ulaşmak için gerekli olmayan çabalardan kaçınıp sadece gerekli olanları yapması gerektiği düşüncesini benimsemektedir. Kertsen ve Sidky (2005:472)’e göre, örgütsel öğrenciler örgütlerin rasyonel yönetim yaklaşımları etkisi ile planlama, denetleme ve hazırlanmış eğitim çabaları gibi faaliyetlerle sorunların üstesinden gelmeye çalıştığını belirtmişlerdir. Buna karşın gerçek yaşamda, örgütsel yaşamın pek çok öğrencisi verilen kararların nasıl olması gerektiği konusundaki beklentileriyle gerçekteki gözlemleri arasındaki fark karşısında hayal kırıklığına uğramaktadırlar (Kets de Vries, 1991:1). Bu çalışmanın amacı, örgütsel patolojinin yaşayan sistemler teorisi bağlamında tartışılması ve yöneticilerin örgüt yönetiminde önemle üzerinde durması gereken irrasyonel eğilimlerin klinik yaklaşım ile analiz edilmesidir
