İşgörenlerin Politik Becerilerinin Yöneticilerin Görev Performansı Değerlendirmeleri Üzerindeki Etkisi: Sosyal Etki Kuramı Açısından Bir Değerlendirme

Year 2018, Volume: 18 Issue: 3, 445 - 455, 01.07.2018

Abstract

The Effect of Employees’ Political Skills on Supervisors’ Job Performance Appraisals: An Evaluation from Social Impact Theory’s Perspective

Year 2018, Volume: 18 Issue: 3, 445 - 455, 01.07.2018

Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a significant effect of employees’ political skills on supervisors’ performance appraisal. The sample of the study is two textiles factories in Denizli. The data were collected by using questionnaires. The results of the study showed that as the political skills of the employees increase, the positive tendencies towards the performance appraisal of the managers increase. According to this result, it can be said that employees who have the higher level of political skill, have more influence on their supervisors’ performance appraisal. The most important limitation of the study that the results of the study cannot be generalized in the manufacturing sector, as the survey was administered in only two textiles factories.
