Assesment of Post-Contamination Treatments Affecting Self-Etch and Universal Adhesive Systems

Abstract

Aim: The purpose of this study is to compare the dentin bond strength values of the adhesive systems used with the different surface modifying methods applied after single-stage self-etch and universal adhesive systems saliva contamination after polymerization.Material and Method: In this invitro study, 48 non-carious, unrestored premolar teeth were collected to be used for the shear bond strength test. Totally 48 teeth were randomly divided into 2 groups according to adhesives used All-bond SE, All-bond Universal . The two bonding systems and corresponding composite resins were bonded to dentin under three surface conditions: Group 1 control : bonding/composite; Group 2: bonding cured /saliva/rinsing/drying/bonding/composite; Group 3: bonding cured /saliva/ rinsing/removing contaminated layer with a bur/rinsing/drying/bonding/composite. Shear bond strength was tested after specimens were stored in distilled water at 37ᵒC for 24 hours. Data were analyzed by one way analysis of variance ANOVA and Tukey’s Honestly Significant Difference post hoc test. Results: The dentine bonding strength values of A1 and A3 subgroups were similar p>0,05 and A2 subgroups were significantly lower than the other subgroups A1-A3 p0,05

Self-etch ve universal adeziv sistemlerde tükürükle kontaminasyon sonrası tedavilerin değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, tek aşamalı self-etch ve üniversal adeziv sistemlerin polimerizasyon sonrası meydana gelen tükürük kontaminasyonunda, uygulanan farklı yüzey düzenleme yöntemlerinin kullanılan adeziv sistemlerin dentine bağlanma dayanım değerlerini karşılaştırmaktır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Bu invitro çalışmada makaslama bağlanma dayanım testi için kullanılmak üzere 48 adet çürüksüz, restorasyonsuz premolar diş toplandı. 48 adet diş, kullanılan adeziv sistemlere All-bond SE, All-bond Universal göre rastgele 2 gruba ayrıldı. İki adeziv sistem ve buna karşılık gelen kompozit rezinler üç farklı yüzey düzenleme yönteminde dentine bağlandı: Grup 1 kontrol : adeziv/kompozit; Grup 2: adeziv polimerize olmuş /tükürük/yıkama/kurutma/adeziv/ kompozit; Grup 3: adeziv polimerize olmuş /tükürük/yıkama/ ront frez/yıkama/kurutma/ adeziv/kompozit. Örnekler 37ᵒC distile suda 24 saat boyunca bekletildikten sonra makaslama testi uygulandı.Veriler tek yönlü varyans analizi ANOVA testi ve Tukey çoklu karşılaştırma testi kullanılarak değerlendirildi. Bulgular:Tek basamaklı self-etch adeziv sistem için oluşturulan alt gruplar arasında A1 ve A3 alt gruplarının dentine bağlanma dayanım değerleri benzer p>0,05 , A2 alt grubunun değerleri ise diğer alt gruplardan A1-A3 istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı derecede düşük bulundu p0,05 . Sonuç:Polimerizasyon sonrası tükürükle kontaminasyon meydana geldiğinde; yüzey düzenleme yöntemi olarak adeziv tabakanın bir frez yardımıyla kaldırılıp adezivin tekrar uygulandığı gruplarda, yıkama-kurutma sonrası adeziv uygulamasının tekrarlandığı gruplara göre dentine bağlanmada daha iyi sonuç elde edilmiştir
