Year 2008, Volume: 35 Issue: 2 - Volume: 35 Issue: 2, 79 - 85, 01.05.2008

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to compare theeffects of 3 different self-etch adhesive systems onmicroleakage of class V resin composite restorations in primary teeth. Thirty freshly extractedcaries-free primary molar teeth were used. Class Vcavities were prepared on buccal and lingual surfaces of each tooth. The teeth were randomly divided into 3 groups of 10 teeth and restored with 3 different adhesive systems Xeno V, Clearfil Tri SBond, Adper Easy Bond and posterior resin composite Clearfil Majesty Posterior . After finishing, the teeth were stored in 37ºC distilled water for 24hours and thermocycled x500 . The specimenswere subjected to conventional dye-penetration testusing basic fuchsin, sectioned and analyzed undermagnification. The extent of leakage was measuredand the results were compared using Chi-Squaretest. Regardless of the adhesive type, all groupsdemonstrated similar amount of leakage alongocclusal margins p>0.05 . However, Clearfil Tri Sbond demonstrated significantly greater leakagealong gingival margins than the other adhesive systems p

Year 2008, Volume: 35 Issue: 2 - Volume: 35 Issue: 2, 79 - 85, 01.05.2008

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, süt dişlerinde üç farklıself-etch adeziv sistemin mikrosızıntı özelliklerinisınıf V kavitelerde invitro olarak karşılaştırmaktır.Çalışmada 30 adet çürüksüz süt molar dişkullanıldı. Her dişin bukkal ve lingual yüzlerinde,sınıf V kaviteler hazırlanarak, dişler her grupta 10diş olacak şekilde rastgele 3 gruba ayrıldı. Kavitelerüç farklı self-etch adeziv sistem Xeno V, ClearfilTri S Bond, Adper Easy Bond ve posterior kompozit materyal Clearfil Majesty Posterior ilerestore edildi. Bitirme işlemlerinden sonra, distilesuda 37ºC’de 24 saat bekletilen örneklere termalsiklus x500 uygulandı ve bazik fuksin kullanılarak geleneksel boya penetrasyonu testine tabi tutuldu. Bukko-lingual yönde alınan kesitler x40büyütmede stereomikroskop altında incelenereksızıntı miktarları skorlandı ve veriler Chi-Kare testikullanılarak analiz edildi.Grupların okluzal kenar mikrosızıntı değerleriarasındaki fark istatistiksel olarak anlamlı değildir p>0.05 . Servikal kenarda Tri S Bond, diğer adezivsistemlere göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düzeydefazla sızıntı göstermiştir p
