The Effect of Self-etch and One Bottle Bonding Systems in Class V Cavities on Microleakage

Abstract

This in vitro study evaluated the effect of twoself-etching and three one-bottle bonding systemson microleakage of Class V cavities restored with aresin composite. 50 V-shaped cervical cavities wereprepared on each of the buccal surfaces of freshlyextracted permanent molars. The cavities were randomly assigned according to used bonding systems:Self-etching bondings; Optibond Solo Plus SE andPrompt-L-Pop and one-bottle bondings; OptibondSolo Plus, Excite and Prime&Bond NT. Afterapplying bonding systems, all cavities were restoredwith a Charisma resin composite. Restored specimens were stored in distilled water at 37°C for 24hours. The teeth in each group were thermocycledfor 1000 cycles at 5°C and 55°C with a dwell time of60 seconds, All teeth immersed in 0.5% basicfuchsin dye solution for 24 hours. The teeth thenwere sectioned in a bucco-palatal/lingual directionand scored on a 0-3 scale at the enamel and gingival margins. Non-parametric statistical analysis ofthe results showed that there was no significant difference in microleakage between the all bondingadhesives

SELF-ETCH TEK ŞİŞE BONDİNG SİSTEMLERİN SINIF V KAVİTELERDEKİ MİKROSIZINTIYA ETKİSİ

Abstract

Bu in-vitro çalışmanın amacı, bir kompozitrezin ile restore edilmiş Sınıf V kavitelerde iki selfetch ve üç tek şişe bonding sistemlerin mikrosızıntıüzerine etkilerini incelemektir. 50 adet V-şeklindeservikal kaviteler yeni çekilmiş sürekli molar dişlerin bukkal yüzeylerine açıldı. Kaviteler kullanılacak bonding sistemlere göre rasgele gruplara ayrıldı: Self-etch bondingler; Optibond Solo Plus SE ve Prompt-L-Pop ve tek-şişe bondingler; Optibond Solo Plus, Excite ve Prime&Bond NT. Bonding sistemlerin uygulanmas›ndan sonra, bütün kaviteler Charisma kompozit rezin ile restore edildi. Bütün örnekler 24 saat distile su içerisinde bekletildi ve 1dakika kalacak şekilde 5 ve 55°C termal siklus işlemi 1000 kez uyguland›. Bütün dişler 24 saat için %0.5 bazik fuksin içerisinde bekletildi. Dişler bukko-palatinal/lingual yönde kesildi ve mine ve gingival duvarlar 0 ila 3 arasındaki skorlar ile değerlendirildi. Non-parametrik istatistiksel analiz sonuçlar› bütün bonding sistemler arasında istatistiksel bir fark olmadığını gösterdi.
