Yenimuhacır village (Keşan district, Thrace): A socio-ecological study

Abstract

In this study the characteristic of the social ecology of Yenimuhacır village, which is located in Keşan district, are investigated. The search depends on the results of the questionaires, observations in the area, and the interviews made with the persons concerned. The social and the economical conditions of this village have been gradually developed. The village community has been interested in the urban life and their relations with the external surroundings have been increased. Due to the fact that the village is open in manner to be influenced by the urban life and the relations with the cities are excessive, the changes in social life started very early. 

The production and the economical activities have increased due to the developing agricultural technology. All these social and economical changes have caused a lot of problems to be solved.

YENİMUHACIR KÖYÜ (KEŞAN): TOPLUMSAL EKOLOJİ AÇISINDAN BİR İNCELEME

Abstract

Ülkemizde Cumhuriyetin kuruluşundan bu yana görülen endüstrileşme, ulaşı­ mın gelişmesi ve kentleşme gibi temel toplumsal-ekonomik gelişme ve değiş­ melerin toplumumuz üzerindeki etkilerini ortaya koymak için çeşitli araştırma ve incelemeler yapılmaktadır. Aynı zamanda temel yapısı köy kuruluşuna dayanan ülkemizde ise, köy toplumunda meydana gelen toplumsal değişmelerin araştırılması, aydınlatılması ve köy sorunlarının bilimsel yönden açıklanması en önemli noktayı teşkil eder(2). Çünkü, Türkiye'nin kalkınması her şeyden önce köyün tanınmasına, geleneksel köy toplum sistemlerinin modern kuruluşlara yönelebilmesi için bilimsel araştırma tekniklerine göre incelenmesine, köy ve köylü sorunlarının bilinmesine bağlıdır. Biz de, bu incelemede Edirne ilinin Keşan ilçesine bağlı, kente açık bir köyünün, YENİMUHACIR köyünün toplumsal ekoloji açısından yapısını, köy toplumunun zihniyet ve dünya görüşlerini, toplumsal değişmelere karşı tutum ve davranışlarını, köy ve köylü sorunlarını anlamaya ve araştırmaya çalıştık.
