The Features of Monthly and Annual Rainfall Distribution in the Immediate Surroundings of Izmir

Abstract

In this study we want to explain the features of the rainfall regime and to put forward the rainfall tendency in the immediate area of Izmir. In addition to comparing the mean monthly and average annual rainfall, we investigated closely the fluctuations as to the percentages of all values given for the  meteoroligical  stations  (İzmir, Bornova and Menemen) and then made an attempt to classify the rainfall for the given area.
