8. Sınıf Öğrencilerinin Basınç Ünitesi Kavramlarını Günlük Yaşamla İlişkilendirme Düzeylerinin Artırılması

Abstract
Bu çalışmada araştırma sorusuna yanıt aranmıştır: Günlük yaşamla ilişkilendirilerek hazırlanan sekizinci sınıf basınç ünitesi öğretim planının öğrencilerin ünite kavramlarını günlük yaşamla ilişkilendirme düzeylerini artırmada etkisi var mıdır? Araştırmada yarı deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grupları 8. sınıf düzeyinde öğrenim gören 42 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Çalışmada, Basınç Ünitesini Günlük Yaşamla İlişkilendirme Düzeyinin Belirlenmesi: Öğrencilerin akademik başarılarını ölçmek için geliştirilen 'Basınç Ünitesi Akademik Başarı Testi' kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde her iki grubun son test puanlarını karşılaştırmak için ANCOVA kullanılmıştır. Kontrol grubu bağımlı örneklem t-testi etki büyüklüğü testi sonucunda Cohen's d =0,535 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Deney grubu bağımlı örneklem t-testi etki büyüklüğü testi sonucunda Cohen's d =2.458 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre, günlük yaşamla ilişkilendirilerek hazırlanan derse katılan deney grubu öğrencilerinin günlük yaşamla ilişkilendirme düzeylerinin kontrol grubu öğrencilerine göre istatistiksel olarak daha iyi olduğu belirlenmiştir. Grupların ön testte elde ettikleri başarı farklılıklarının olası etkisi kontrol altında tutularak son testte yapılan Ancova analizine göre etki büyüklüğü değerinin (η2 = 0,294) oldukça büyük olduğu tespit edilmiştir. 'Bilim Hayattır' konusunun günlük hayatla ilişkisinin kurulduğu ders planlarının hazırlanması ve kullanılması bu nedenle tavsiye edilmektedir.

Abstract
In this study, it was sought to answer the research question: Does the eighth-grade pressure unit teaching plan prepared by associating with daily life have an effect on increasing the level of students' associating the unit concepts with daily life? A quasi-experimental design was used in the study. The study groups consisted of 42 students studying at the 8th grade level. In the study, Pressure Unit Academic Achievement Test developed to measure the academic achievement of the students was used. In the analysis of data, ANCOVA was used to compare the post-test scores of both groups. According to the findings obtained, it was determined that the level of association with daily life of the experimental group students who attended the course prepared by associating with daily life was statistically better than the control group students. Keeping the possible effect of the achievement differences of the groups obtained in the pre-test under control, it was determined that the effect size value (η2 = 0.294) was quite large according to the Ancova analysis in the post-test. ‘Science is Life’ is why it is recommended to prepare and use lesson plans in which the relationship of the subject with daily life is established regardless of the subject.
