ÇOCUKLARDA UYKU

Year 2012, Volume: 28 Issue: 1, 81 - 90, 01.01.2012

Abstract

Erken çocukluk döneminde beynin temel aktivitesi uykudur. Yaşamın ilk iki yılında çocuk ortalama olarak 9500 saatini uyuyarak, 8000 saatini uyanık geçirmektedir. Uyku çocuk gelişiminin temel unsurudur. Yetersiz uyku çocuğun sağlığını, aile-akran-öğretmen ilişkilerini, günlük yaşam aktivitelerini ve davranışlarını etkilemektedir. Hemşirelerin çocuklardaki potansiyel uyku sorunlarının saptanmasında ve ailenin sağlıklı uyku alışkanlıkları konusunda eğitilmesinde önemli görevleri bulunmaktadır
