Abstract

Siddet; çocukta, gençte, kadinda ölüme ve kalici fonksiyon bozukluklarina neden olabilmektedir. Pek çok kadin, çocuk, genç polis tarafindan siddet riski ya da siddete bagli yaralanma nedeni ile acil servise getirilmektedir. Benzer olarak çogunlukla kadin grup ev içi siddete bagli yaralanma ile acile gelmekte ve uzun zamandir çocuklarinin da benzeri kötü davranis ile karsi karsiya olduklarini belirtmektedir. Bu gözden geçirme yazisi ev içi siddete bakis açisi saglamasi açisindan önemlidir. Acil bakim profesyonelleri, ev içi siddete bagli yaralanmalarin akut tedavisinde gelecekte ve varolan risk faktörlerinin tanilanmasinda ve siddete verilecek tepkinin ortaya konulmasinda önemli rol oynamaktadirlar

EMERGENCY NURSE ROLE IN DOMESTIC VIOLENCE MANAGEMENT

Abstract

Violent injury remains a major cause of death and disability for children, youth and women.Most youth and adolescents and women with or who are at risk for violence-related injuries present in emergency department ED settings, although some come to the attention of the police. Similarly, many women group present to EDs with injuries related to domestic violence, and it is well described that children exposed to such situations suffer both short- and long-term consequences from these exposures. Given the significance of these review with respect to the domestic violence, it is important for emergency care professionals to consider the roles they can play in the acute management, assessment for future risk, screening for risk, and follow-up services involved in the response to domestic violence injury
