Tip 2 Diyabetli Bireylerin Tatlandırıcı ve Tatlı Tüketimleri ile Metabolik Kontrol Arasındaki İlişkinin Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışma, Tip 2
diyabetli bireylerin tatlandırıcı ve tatlı tüketimleri ile metabolik kontrol
arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemek amacı ile yürütülmüştür.



Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırma
İstanbul Bakırköy Dr Sadi Konuk Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi Diyet
Polikliniği'ne başvuran 51-65 yaş arası 160 Tip 2 diyabetli birey üzerinde
yapılmıştır. Bireylere yüz yüze anket uygulanarak sosyodemografik özellikleri,
tatlandırıcı kullanımları, antropometrik ölçümleri, biyokimyasal parametreleri
ve besin tüketim sıklıkları kaydedilmiştir.



Bulgular: Çalışmaya
katılan bireylerin beden kütle indeksleri (BKİ) ortalama 33,86±6,02 kg/m2’dir.
Katılımcıların %66,9'u (n=107) şişman, %28,1'i (n=45) hafif şişman, %5'i (n=8)
normal olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Bireylerin HbA1c değerleri %8,30±2,35'tir.
Katılımcıların %63,7'si (n=102) kötü, %36,3'ü (n=58) iyi metabolik kontrole
sahiptir. Metabolik kontrolü kötü olan bireylerin günlük hamur tatlısı, kek,
kurabiye ve bisküvi tüketim miktarının metabolik kontrolü iyi olan bireylere
göre anlamlı olarak daha yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır (p<0,05). Bireylerin
HbA1c değerleri ile hamur tatlısı ve hazır meyve suyu tüketim sıklıkları
arasında pozitif yönde, zayıf ve istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki vardır
(p<0,05).



Sonuç: Yapılan çalışmanın
sonucunda Tip 2 diyabetlilerin çoğunluğunun şişman ve metabolik kontrollerinin
kötü olduğu saptanmıştır. Günlük tüketilen hamur tatlısı, kek, kurabiye ve
bisküvi tüketim miktarları ile metabolik kontrolün ilişkili olduğu
belirlenmiştir.
