İstanbul Boğazı kıyılan boyunca 10 istasyonda deniz makrobentik florası çalışılmıştır. Türlerin dağılımı Cyanophyceae (1 tür), Rhodophyceae (25 takson), Phaeophyceae (3 tür), Chlorophyceae (12 takson) ve Spermatophyta (2 tür) şeklindedir. Bu taksonlar Marmara ve Karadeniz ile benzerlik göstermekte olup, Rhodophyceaea’den Corallina officinalis L., Dasysa hutchinsiae Harvey, Gelidium crinale (Turner) Gaillon, Gracilariopsis longissima (S.G.Gmelin) Steentoft, Herposiphonia secunda (C.Ag.) Ambronn, Polysiphonia nigrescens (Hudson) Grev. ex Harv., Polysiphonia sertularioides (Grateloup) J.Ag., Polysiphonia urceolata (Lightfoot ex Dillwyn) Grev., Porphyra minor Zanardini, Porphyra umbilicalis (L.) Kütz. ; Phaeophyceae’den Cystoseira crinita Duby; Chlorophyceae’den Chaetomorpha linum (O.F.Müller) Kütz., Cladophora echinus (Bisoletto) Kütz., Enteromorpha linza var. crispata (Bertoloni) J. Ag. bölge için yeni kayıtlardır.
Alglerin % oranları, Cyanophyceae:2,44; Rhodophyceae: 60,97; Phaeophyceae: 7,32; Chlorophyceae: 29,27’dir. Bu oranlardan Phaeophyceae ve Chlorophyceae’ye ait değerler Marmara ve Karadeniz’den farklı bulunmuş; farkın birincil nedeninin çevresel kirlenme olabileceği sonucuna varılmıştır.
Marine macrobenthic flora has been studied extensively at ten stations along the Bosphorus coast. Species list consisted of Cyanophyceae (1 species), Rhohopyceae (25 taxa), Phaeophyceae (3 species), Chlorophyceae (12 taxa) and spermatophyta (2 species). These species are similar to that of Marmara and Black Sea flora. Corallina officinalis L., Dasysa hutchinsiae Harvey, Gelidium crinale (Turner) Gaillon,Gracilariopsis longissima (S.G.Gmelin) Steentoft, Herposiphonia secunda (C.Ag.) Ambronn,Polysiphonia nigrescens (Hudson) Grev. ex Harv., Polysiphonia sertularioides (Grateloup) J.Ag., Polysiphonia urceolata (Lightfoot ex Dillwyn) Grev., Porphyra minor Zanardini, Porphyra umbilicalis (L.) Kütz. of Rhodophyceae; Cystoseira crinita Duby of Phaeophyceae; Chaetomorpha linum (O.F.Müller) Kütz., Cladophora echinus (Bisoletto) Kütz., Enteromorpha linza var.(Bertoloni) J.Ag of Chlorophyceae are new records for the Bosphorus. The rates as percentage of the algae are Cyanophyceae: 2.44; Rhodophyceae: 60.97; Phaeophyceae: 7.32; Chlorophyceae: 29.27. The datas of Phaeophyceae and Chlorophyceae are different from that of Marmara and Black Sea. These results show that the primer cause of differences are environmental pollution in this region
