Dördü Bir Arada: Kariyer Uyumunun Yordayıcıları Olarak İyimserlik, Umut, Bölüm Uygunluğu ve İstihdam Edilebilirlik

Year 2020, Volume: 5 Issue: 2, 293 - 305, 19.10.2020

Abstract

Year 2020, Volume: 5 Issue: 2, 293 - 305, 19.10.2020

Abstract

The significance of career adaptation has once again been understood by means of Covid 19 virus which has a huge negative impact on the world economically, psychologically and sociologically in terms of individual life and business world. The aim of this study is to analyze the power of university students' career optimism, hope, department compatibility and employability skills to predict their career adaptations. The research was designed according to the relational model. The sample of the study consisted of 576 university students (411 women, 165 men). The age average of these students was 21.9. An individual background information form and "Career Future Scale" were used as data collection tools. The collected data was analyzed according to Gradual Regression analysis and Pearson Product Moment Correlation techniques. As a result of the research, career adaptability was found to be positively and significantly relational with optimism, hope, employability and department compatibility. Optimism, hope and department compatibility explain 45% of the change in career adaptability. While planning the studies to be carried out by the Guidance and Psychological Counseling units to improve the career adaptation of the university students, it is recommended that the students consider career optimism, department compatibility and hope level.
