Abstract
In this study, secondary school students in biology-based professions are effective causes researched and family, environment, school environment, the course instructor, gender etc. is the degree to which these professions in choosing effective features. The survey was composed of a high school education, located in Erzurum, 149 high school student. Data collection tool was used in a survey of 26 items. As a result, the students have not information about biology based job. In addition, family, teachers and students of the area revealed a lot about choices affect professions. With this research, students were not obtained information about jobs from internet, television programs and books.

Abstract
Bu araştırmada, ortaöğretim öğrencilerin biyoloji temelli mesleklerin seçiminde etkili olan nedenler araştırılmış ve aile, çevre, okul ortamı, ders öğretmeni, cinsiyet vb. özelliklerin bu meslekleri seçmede ne derece etkili olduğu saptanmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Erzurum merkezinde bulunan bir lisede öğrenim gören 149 lise öğrencisi oluşturmuştur. Veri toplama aracı olarak 26 maddelik bir anket kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizi sonucunda öğrencilerin biyoloji derslerinde biyoloji temelli meslekler hakkında pek bilgi almadıkları ortaya çıkmıştır. Ayrıca aile, öğretmen ve çevrenin öğrencilerin meslekler hakkında seçimlerini çok fazla etkilemediğini ortaya çıkarmıştır. Bunlarla birlikte bu araştırma, öğrencilerin meslekler hakkında internet, televizyon programları ve bazı kitaplardan meslekler hakkında pek fazla bilgi edinmediklerini de ortaya çıkarmıştır.
