Children's books, which are one of the most basic resources of pre-school education, are among the educational tools that preschool teachers use most in classroom practices. Preschool teachers carry out many activities by using children’s books in their classroom. Children's books, which are also used in classroom practices, are selected considering many different features. In this study, it is tried to reveal the opinions of preschool teachers about children’s books. The study was carried out with the participation of 22 preschool teachers working in 6 preschool institutions in Canakkale city center in the 2019 fall semester. The research was supported as a case study and the research data were analyzed using the analysis technique. When the opinions of preschool teachers about children’s books are examined, it is stated that the effects of children's books on development areas and positive effects on children's creativity and language skills development. While teachers prefer children’s books, they stated that the external / formal, internal structure, and author / publisher features of the books are important. Preschool teachers stated that classroom activities with children's books contribute to children’s cognitive, social-emotional and language development; They state that it is important to choose a book that improves creativity and provides information.
