Abstract

Same investlgations on the morphology, blo-ecology and control measures of Artichoke moth (Phragmacossİaalbida ErschovJ which İs h.armful on the artichokes in ızmir (Turkey>. The detajled morphological and bio-ecologlcal informations have been already given by Kaya et aL. (1981, 1982>' According to the results of the chemical tests oonducted against Ph. albida to
irrigate with one of the insecticides as Dimecron, Nuvacron (5 times applications in IS days interval) or Furadan (only one applıcationl will be adequate. Furtherrnore, during the cultivation-period if any larvae are found in the roots, should be collected by handlingaınd tlıese infested roots never be used for new plantation. Glyptomorpha siculus Marshall (Hym.. Braconidae) and Beauveria basslana (Balaemo) have been found from the Iarvae collected in the field. But their population levels were very law.
