Investigations on the host, distribution and effidency of the natural enemies of the family Aphididae (Homoptera), harmful to pome and stone fruit trees in İzmir province of Aegean Region
Abstract
This study was carried out to find the natural enemıes of the speoies of the family Aphididae (Homoptera) oausing serious damage to pomeand stone fruit trees, as well as the many other plants. in this paper parasitte species belonging to the farnildes Aphidtidae and Pteromalidae (Hymenoptera) are reeorded, from which Aphidius eolemani Viereek and Aphidius matrieariae Halidayare new records for Turkey. Nirıe families in 4 orders and thelr related 51 species of 29 genera were Identified as the predators of the Aphididae fa.m.ily, harınful to pome and stone fruit trees. Among of them Paragus nigellus Goeldlin is the first reeord for the world, while Phytoeoris longfpermis Flor, Calvia quatuordeeimguttata (Llnnaeusl , Paragus majoranae Rondani, Episyrphus aurieollis (Meigen) are new records for Turkey. Distribution, hosts, .abundance and efficieney of this natural enemies are given.
