A new species of Singapora Mahmood attacking Derris robusta inAssam, with a key species (Homoptera: Cicadellidae)

Abstract

A new species, Singapora arifi, found breeding on Derris robusta in Assam, India, is described here. Members of the genus Slngapora Mahmood occur on trees rather than on herbaceous plants. A list of and a key to the species of Singapora is alsoa provided. At present this small but important genus is in some confusion and needs clarification.
