Abstract

This study was carried out to determine the taxonomic and faunistic positions of the Hadeninae (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) subfamily in Western Black Sea region during 2001, 2003 and 2004 and, material were collected from 46 different localities. A total of 146 specimens collected from 14 of these 46 localities were evaluated and 16 species belonging to 9 different genera were determined. Of these, 3 species [Hadena magnolii (Boisduval, 1829), Leucania comma (Linnaeus, 1761), Mythimna albipuncta (Denis & Schiffermüller, 1775)] are new records for western Black Sea region
