Abstract
Investigations on the genus Otiorhynchus (Germar, 1822) (Coleoptera: Curculionidae: Entiminae) fauna of Izmir province In this study the species belonging to the genus Otiorhynchus (Germar, 1822) (Coleoptera, Curculionidae) which is distributed around Izmir were examined. Most of the species were collected periodically between 2002-2004 and remaining part of species were from different field surveys in the subsequent years. The species found in these field surveys are presented as a list. Otiorhynchus (Podonebistus) prolongatus Stierlin, 1861 is new record for Turkey, and Otiorhynchus (Cryphiphorus) ligustici (Linneaus, 1778), Otiorhynchus (Nehrodistus) turca Boheman, 1843, Otiorhynchus (Podonebistus) bleusei Faust, 1899, Otiorhynchus (Choilisanus) brunneus Krynicki, 1834, Otiorhynchus (Choilisanus) grandicollis Boheman, 1843, Otiorhynchus (Misenatus) lugens (Germar, 1817) are the new records for Izmir. The presence of bisexual populations of Otiorhynchus (Choilisanus) balcanicus Stierlin, 1861 is determined for the first time
