Systematic studies on two oribatid mites inhabiting aquatic ecosystems in Erzurum province: Trimalaconothrus (Tyrphonothrus) glaber glaber (Michael, 1888) and Hydrozetes (Hydrozetes) lacustris parisiensis Grandjean, 1948 (Acari: Oribatida)
Abstract
In this study; the morphological features of Trimalaconothrus (Tyrphonothrus) glaber glaber (Michael, 1888) (Oribatida: Malaconothridae) which is new record for the Turkish fauna and Hydrozetes (Hydrozetes) lacustris parisiensis Grandjean, 1948 (Oribatida: Hydrozetidae) collected from an aquatic habitat in Erzurum province were examined using light and scanning electron microscope. On the basis of the collected specimens, the definitions of oribatid mites were reviewed and their distributions in Turkey and the world were presented.

Abstract
Bu çalışmada; Erzurum ilindeki sucul bir habitattan toplanan ve Türkiye faunası için yeni olan Trimalaconothrus (Tyrphonothrus) glaber glaber (Michael, 1888) (Oribatida: Malaconothridae) ile Hydrozetes (Hydrozetes) lacustris parisiensis Grandjean, 1948 (Oribatida: Hydrozetidae)’in morfolojik özellikleri ışık ve tarama elektron mikroskobu ile incelenmiştir. Tespit edilen oribatid akarların örneklerimiz üzerinden tanımları gözden geçirilerek, dünyadaki ve Türkiye’deki yayılışları verilmiştir.
