Abstract

A new species of Eriococcidae (Hemipbtera: Coccoidea), Neoacanthococcus atlihani Kaydan & Kozár sp. nov., collected on Tamarix sp. from Turkey is described and illustrated based on the adult female. A redescription and illustration of the adult female of Neoacanthococcus tamaricicola Borchsenius, 1948, are given, and a key for Tamarixfeeding eriocococids in the Palaearctic zoogeographic region is provided
