In this study, 28 cucumber, 26 tomato and 16 pepper varieties were tested against Meloidogyne javanica Chitwood, 1949 race-l (Nemata: Heteroderidae), M. incognita Chitwood, 1949 race-2 at 25±1°C and 60±10 % relative humidity in controlled room. Test results revealed that all cucumber varieties were susceptible to M. javanica race-I and M. incognita race-2. While all tomato varieties were susceptible to M. incognita race-2, only three tomato varieties, 144 RN, Target N Fl and 1077 were found to be resistant to M. javanica race-L These varieties were also found to be resistant to M. javanica race-I at 30±1"C. While all pepper varieties tested were resistant to M. javanica race-L, they were susceptible to M. incognita race-2. All of the pepper varieties tested were able to maintain resistance to M. javanica race-I at 30±1"C.
Serada yetistirilen sebzelerin en onernli zararhlanndan birisi de Kok-ur nematodlan (Meloidogyne spp.l'dir. Kok-ur nematodlan bitkilerin koklerinde beslenir ve koklerde urianmaya neden olarak su ve besin elementlerinin almmasim engeller. Dunya genelinde Kok-ur nematodlannm 4 turt; (Meloidogyne arenaria (Neal, 1889) Chitwood, 1949; M. hapla Chitwood, 1949; M. incognita (Kofoid et White, 1919) Chitwood, 1949 ve M. javanica (Treub, 1885) Chitwood, 1949) yaygm bulunrnaktadir. Kok-ur nematodlannm sebzelerde cok onernli verim kayiplanna neden olduklan ve bu kayiplann domateslerde % 42-54, pathcanlarda % 30-60 oranlarmda olduqu belirtilmektedir (Netscher and Sikora, 1990). Sogut ve Elekcioglu (2000a), Dogu Akdeniz Bolgesi'nde Meloidogyne turlerinin irklanm belirlernisler, incelemeye alman 38 adet Kok-ur nematodu populasyonundan M. javanica irk-I ve M. incognita rrk-Z'inin yaygm irklar oldugunu tespit etmislerdir, Bu cahsmada Dogu Akdeniz Bolqesi sebze alanlannda yaygm olan M. javanica irk-I ve M. incognita irk-Z'ye karsi bazi hiyar(Cucumis sativus L.), domates (Lycopersicon esculentum L.) ve biber (Capsicum annuum L.) cesitlerinin dayarukhltk durumu 25±PC sicakhkta arastmlrmstir.
