Renewable Energies, Transition and Prospects: The Case of Algeria

Abstract

The primary objective of this paper is to study and shed light on how the transition to renewable energy is taking place in the world and to highlight the link between this transition and the sustainable development of countries. The guidelines are to increase the use of renewable energy in order to detect its effects on economic growth. The inclusion of environmental variables is a de facto part of this study in order to know its impact on the potential of these energies. Thus, we will detect the achievements in this field and know the different techniques used to overcome the gaps related to technology and financing. Technological developments, cost reduction of renewable energies, innovations and digitalization offer opportunities for the benefit of these energies. Finally, we will take Algeria as a case study in this paper.
