Bir Atta Derin Enfekte Yara Olgusu

Abstract

Atlarda travmalara bağlı olarak şekillenen yaralar sıklıkla şekillenir. Çalışmanın materyalini Erciyes Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi Eğitim Uygulama ve Araştırma Hastanesi Cerrahi Ana Bilim Dalı Kliniklerine araç çarpması sonucu getirilen iki yaşındaki yerli bir at oluşturdu. Atın muayenesinde sağ mandibulanın dorsalinde Musculus (M) massater, M. zygomaticus kaslarını da içine alan derin, 20 cm uzunluğunda, enfekte açık yara mevcuttu. Pektoral bölgede sternu-ma kadar uzanan, M. brachiocephalicus, M. sternocephalicus, M. sternothyrohyoideus ve M. brachialis kaslarını içine alan, derinliği 15 cm, genişliği ise 40 cm olan enfekte ve nekrotik dokuların bulunduğu enfekte açık yara saptandı. Ekst-remitelerde sağ ve sol karpal eklem düzeyinde 4 cm genişliğinde açık ve enfekte yara tespit edildi. Yaralar ilk olarak primer kapatma işlemi uygulanarak sağaltım amacı ile dikiş uygulaması yapıldı fakat dikiş hattının iki gün sonra açılma-sı nedeni ile açık yara tedavisine geçildi. Göğüs bölgesindeki yarada 30 günde iyileşme tamamlandı. Primer kapatma yoluyla sağaltıma gidilen yüz ve karpal eklem düzeyindeki yaraların iyileşmesi ise iki hafta sürdü. Sunulan çalışmada bir atta şekillenen, travma üzerinden uzun zaman geçmiş derin, enfekte ve kronik açık yaraların sağaltımında yapılan uygulamaların sonuçları bildirilmiştir. Atlarda gözlenen kronik ve derin enfekte yaraların sağaltım prosedürleri ve sonuç-larının veteriner klinik pratiğe ve literatüre katkı sağlayacağı kanaatindeyiz.
