Nadir Bir Olgu Sunumu: Bir Van Kedisinde Prolapsus Uteri

Abstract

Üç yaşında, 2.7 kg ağırlığında, ilk doğumunu yapan, canlı ilk yavrusunu evde doğurduktan 8 saat sonra vulva dudakları arasından dışarı gelen yaklaşık 2 cm eninde 4 cm uzunluğunda koyu kahverengi tonlarında bir kitlesi olan Van kedisi Erciyes Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi, Eğitim Araştırma ve Uygulama Hastanesine getirildi. Kedinin klinik muayenesi yapıldı ve prolapsus uteri tanısı konuldu. Kedinin kan kalsiyum değerinin düşük olduğu (6.6 mg/dl) ve bu-nun uterus atonisi oluşturarak prolapsus uteriye sebep olabileceği değerlendirildi. Transabdominal ultrasonografi mua-yenesinde, prolabe olmayan kornu uteride kalp atımları olan iki yavru görüldü. Prolabe olan sağ kornu uterinin ödemi azaltıldıktan sonra vajina boşluğuna ret edildi. Daha sonra kedi gaz anestezisi altında operasyona alındı. Öncelikle sol kornu uteriye yapılan kesiyle biri canlı diğeri ölü (ölüm muhtemelen operasyon sürecinde oldu) olan yavrular alındı. Daha sonra prolabe olan sağ kornu uteri ucundan nazikçe çekilerek eversiyonu düzeltildi. Müteakiben ovariohisterekto-mi operasyonu yapıldı. 10 gün sonra hayvan sahibi aranarak, anne ile yavrularının sağlıklı olduğu öğrenildi. Canlı bir yavru doğurduktan sonra bir kornu uterisi prolabe ve diğer kornu uterisi normal (içerisinde canlı iki yavru olan) konum-da olan bir Van kedisi güç doğum vakası kliniğimizde ilk defa görülmüştür.

A Rare Case Report: Uterine Prolapse in a Van Cat

Abstract

A 3-year old primipara Van cat weighing 2.7 kg, which had given a live fetus birth eight hours at home be-fore being brought to our clinic at Erciyes University, Faculty of Veterinary Science, Education, Research and Practice Hospital, with a dark brown mass of about 2 cm width and 4 cm in length coming out of the vulva lips. The cat was examined clinically and diagnosed as uterine prolapse. It was evaluated that the cat's blood calcium level was low (6.6 mg/dl), probably causing uterine atony and uterine prolapse. In transabdominal ultrasonography examination, two pups with heart beats in the left corn uterus without prolapse were seen. After edema was reduced on the prolapsed right corn uterine, it was rejected into the vagina cavity. Immediately later, the cat was operated on under gas anesthesia. First of all, the offspring, one alive and the other dead (probably died during operation) were taken with the left corn incision. Then the eversion was corrected by pulling the prolapsed right corn uterus tip gently. Subsequently, an ovario-hysterectomy operation was performed. After 10 days, the animal owner was called and it was learned that the mother and her offspring were healthy. After giving birth to a live fetus, the Van cat dystocia case with a corn uterine prolapse and the other corn uterine in the normal position (two live kittens inside) was seen in our clinic for the first time.
