Abstract

Mustafa Necati Sepetçioğlu; sanatkâr, romancı, tarihî romancı olmazdan önce Türkolojiyi bitirmiş bir Türkolog idi. Bunun için de Türk tarihini, özellikle Anadolu’daki Türk tarihini derinlemesine inceleyen M.
Fuad Köprülü, Ömer Lütfi Barkan, Osman Turan gibi bilginlerin etkisi ile yetişti. Bu bilginler, Anadolu’daki Türk kültür ve medeniyetinin,
Orta Asya Türk kültür ve medeniyetinin devamı olduğunu gösterdiler.
Sepetçioğlu, bu bilim gerçeklerini roman yoluyla, tarihî romanlarıyla
işledi. Özellikle Konak romanında Kumral Dede bu devamı gösteren bir
kahramandır.

The Interpratation of Turkish History in Mustafa Necati Sepetçioğlu’s Novels

Abstract

Before becoming an artist, novelist, a historical novelist, Mustafa Necati Sepetçioğlu was a Turkolog who gratuated from the Department of
Turkology. He grew up under the influence of such scholars as M. Fuad
Köprülü, Ömer Lütfi Barkan and Osman Turan who had studied Turkish history, especially the Turkish history in Anatolia. These scholars
had showed that Turkish culture and civilization in Anatolia is a continuation of Central Asian Turkish culture and civilization. Sepetçioğlu
has written and discussed these historical realities by the means of
the novels, basically, by his historical novels. Specifically, the Kumral
Dede character in his novel, Konak, clearly displays this historical connection.
