Abstract
Son zamanlarda bir kültür terimi olarak yaygınlaşan serender, büyük ihtimalle Orta Asya’dan
getirilen bir mimarlık biçimdir. Daha çok Orta ve Doğu Karadeniz bölgesinde görülmektedir. Kelime,
Türkçe seren direği kelimelerinin birleşmesiyle oluşmuştur. Hemen hemen bütün terimleri Türkçedir.

Abstract
Serender which has been common as a culture term recently, is most probably an architecture
style, coming from the Inner Asia. It is mostly seen in Middle and Eastem parts of the Black Sea. The
word, has been formed with the combination of the words, Turkish seren post. Almost, ali of its terms
are Turkish.
