The changes in the spatial configuration of educational buildings occur in Turkey as well as all over the world. The education system, the education model being implemented, the scientific and technological development shave a great influence on the spatial configuration of educational buildings. The 'flexibility' approach used for the easiest and most economical solution of spatial-fictional changes occurring in educational buildings and these factors; it guided the outline of the study through the flexibility of the architectural space. In Kayseri city, where the changes in the world and in Turkey are similar, the evaluation of the recent educational buildings in terms of architectural flexibility is the 'main purpose' of the research. With this study; it is aimed to reach the architectural projects (site plan, floor plans, section, view etc.) of 17 educational buildings determined within the boundaries of Kocasinan, Melikgazi and Talas districts of Kayseri city center, to examine and evaluate the education structures to the determined flexibility criteria by making on-site observations. Of these schools affiliated to Ministry of National Education, 11 are public schools and 6 are private schools. In general, the flexibility criteria were not found in these schools.
