Abstract
In this study, it is aimed to evaluate the science textbook currently used in the 7thgrade by the prospective teachers. The sample of the study includes 80 volunteer prospec- tive teachers attending to elementary science department of Amasya Education Faculty. An evaluation scale in the literature which is suitable to the conditions of our country and formed in likert type and the textbook are presented to the sample group. According to the obtained data, it is found that the quantity evaluation to determine the quality of the text- book is at an adequate level. The arithmetic means obtained from the criteria under Organi- zation and Phsical Appearance of the Textbook main titles is lower than the other titles. The necessary proposals are presented to the authors, teachers, prospective teachers and the people who interest on the topic.

TÜRKİYE’DE YÜRÜRLÜKTE OLAN FEN BİLGİSİ 7. SINIF DERS KİTABININ DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ: BİR DURUM ÇALIŞMASI
Abstract
Gerçekleştirilen çalışmada yürürlükteki Fen Bilgisi 7. sınıf ders kitabının öğretmen adayları tarafından değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmanın örneklemi, Amasya Eğitim Fakültesi İlköğretim Fen Bilgisi Öğretmenliği Birinci ve İkinci Öğretim Programlarında öğrenim gören toplam 80 gönüllü öğretmen adayıdır. Örneklem grubuna, ilgili fen bilgisi ders kitabı ile bu kitabın değerlendirilmesinde kullanılacak olan, ülkemiz şartlarına uygulaması gerçekleştirilmiş likert tipi düzeninde oluşturulmuş, literatürdeki bir değerlendirme ölçeği sunulmuştur. Elde edilen verilere göre; fen bilgisi ders kitabının niteliğinin belirlenmesine yönelik nicel değerlendirmesinin genelde normal düzeyde olduğu tespit edilirken, kullanılan ölçekteki Ders Kitabının Fiziksel Görünümü ve Organizasyon ana başlıklarının altındaki maddelerden topladıkları puanların aritmetik ortalamalarının diğer ana başlıklara oranla daha düşük olduğu görülmüştür. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre ders kitabı yazarlarına, öğretmen ve öğretmen adayları ile konuyla ilgilenenlere gerekli öneriler sunulmuştur.
