Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı enflasyon ve ücret düzeyinin işgücü verimliliği ile olan ilişkisini belirlemektir. Çalışmada seçilmiş gelişmekte olan ülkelere (Güney Afrika, Polonya, Şili, Tayland, Türkiye, Malezya Çin, Endenozya, Filipinler ve Hindistan)ait 1995-2018 dönemini kapsayan yıllık işgücü verimliliği, enflasyon ve ücret düzeyi değişkenleri kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın yöntemi olarak ikinci nesil panel eşbütünleşme testi olan Westerlund (2007) eşbütünleşme analizi ve Dumitrescu ve Hurlin (2012) tarafından geliştirilen panel nedensellik analizleri kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın analiz sonuçlarına bağlı olarak işgücü verimliliği, enflasyon ve ücret değişkenleri arasında uzun dönemli eş bütünleşme ilişkisinin, ele alınan dönem ve ülke grubu özelinde, olmadığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca Dumitrescu ve Hurlin nedensellik testleri sonucunda ücretlerden işgücü verimliliğine doğru ve enflasyondan ücretlere doğru tek yönlü nedensellik ilişkisinin olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
