Abstract
Zaman hırsızlığı kavramı, örgüt yapılarının ortaya çıkışı
kadar eski bir problemdir ve bu probleme ilişkin yeni bir paradigmadır. Bu
hırsızlık şekli farklı sebepler sonucunda farklı yollarla gerçekleşebilmektedir.
Buradan hareketle zaman hırsızlığının ortaya çıkış sebeplerini ve araçlarını
ortaya koymak amacıyla Burdur ilinde bulunan bir kamu kurum çalışanlarıyla yarı
yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği kullanılarak bir araştırma
gerçekleştirilmiştir. Zaman hırsızlığının sebepleri olarak literatürde adı
geçen; etik dışı davranışlar, yöneticilerin tutumu, adaletsizlik algısı, sinizm
ve mobbing gibi etmenlerin varlığı tespit edilmiştir. Bunun yanında zaman
hırsızlığının gerçekleşme şekli olarak belirtilen klasik, sosyal ve teknolojik zaman
hırsızlığı boyutlarının Türk kültüründe de önemli düzeyde gerçekleştiği tespit
edilmiştir.
