BİLGİ TOPLUMU BAĞLAMINDA TÜRK ATASÖZLERİNDE “EĞİTİM” VE “BİLGİ” KAVRAMLARI ÜZERİNE DÜŞÜNCELER

Abstract

Tarih boyunca Türk toplumunda “eğitimli olmak”, “bilgi ve bilgelik” sürekli yüceltilmiş, kendisine ve topluma faydalı birey olma sürecinde bireylerin daima sahip olması gereken bir olgu olarak görülmüştür. Bilgi üreten bir toplum olma sürecinde bilgi toplumunun oluşumuna katkı sağlayacak biçimde bireylerin yetiştirilmesi Türk atasözlerine de yansımıştır. Atasözlerinde bireylerin bilişsel yeterliliklerinin gelişmesine hep vurgu yapılmış, işlevsel bir toplum yapısı adına cahillik ve eğitimsizlik savaşılması gereken bir durum olarak görülmüştür. Bu anlamda makalede, bilgi toplumu bağlamında Türk atasözlerine “eğitim” ve “bilgi” kavramlarının yansıması üzerine değerlendirmeler yapılmaktadır

The Considerations Over “Education” and “Information” Concepts in Turkish Proverbs Within The Context of Information Society

Abstract

Being educated, knowledge and wisdom have been exalted steadily and regarded as a fact that the individuals must always possess in the process of being a useful individual for both himself and the society in Turkish society in the course of history. In the process of being a society producing knowledge, the process that the individuals are trained has been taken place in Turkish proverbs so as to contribute to the formation of the society of information. In the proverbs, the development of individuals’ cognitive competence has always been regarded as a situation that is to be fought for the sake of the structure of a functional society. In this sense, in the article, evaluations on reflections of the concepts of education and knowledge to Turkish proverbs have been made in connection with the society of information.
