BENEFITS OF CLEAN PRODUCTION SYSTEM APPLICATIONS FOR BUSINESS ECONOMICS IN VARIOUS INDUSTRIES

Abstract

ABSTRACT Industrial approach of the new millenium does not comprise only the responsibility to create a healthy society, but also the responsibility to develop sustainable production systems that minimise environmental degradations. This minimisation is probably the most important social responsibility of the enterprises. In order to fulfil this, they must undertake enviromental friendly policies in the production management and include environmental issues in their production functions. Today, serious environmental damages happened as a result of increase of industrial activity and rapidly developing technologies. In many developed countries, it is understood that the classical environmental protection approach which focuses on pollution control (end-of-pipe treatment technologies) is not an efficient environmental management, so new approaches and techniques have been adopted. Especially, the concept of "cleaner production" that is put forward with the concept of "sustainable progress" is considered as the best way to solve environmental problems. ÇEŞİTLİ ENDÜSTRİLERDE TEMİZ ÜRETİM SİSTEMİ UYGULAMALARININ İŞLETME EKONOMİLERİNE SAĞLADIĞI FAYDALAR

Abstract

ÖZ Yeni bin yılda endüstrideki yaklaşım, yalnızca sağlıklı bir toplum yaratma yükümlülüğüne sahip olmak değil, aynı zamanda da çevresel olumsuzlukları mininize eden sürdürülebilir üretim sistemlerini de geliştirmektir. Çevresel olumsuzlukları en aza indirmek, işletmelerin toplumsal sorumluluklarının belki de en önemlisidir. İşletmeler bu sorumluluklarını yerine getirebilmek için üretim yönetimine ilişkin kararlarda çevre konularına duyarlı yaklaşımlar göstermeli ve üretim fonksiyonu ile çevre konularını birlikte değerlendirmelidir. Günümüzde hızla gelişen teknolojiler ve endüstriyel faaliyetlerin artması sonucu ciddi çevresel bozunumlar oluşmuştur. Birçok gelişmiş ülkede, kirlilik kontrolü (boru sonu arıtım teknolojileri) üzerine yoğunlaşan klasik çevre koruma yaklaşımının etkin bir çevre yönetimi olmadığı anlaşılmış, bunun yerine alternatif yeni yaklaşımlar ve yenilikçi teknolojiler benimsenmiştir. Özellikle "sürdürülebilir kalkınma" kavramı ile ortaya atılan "temiz üretim" kavramı çevresel sorunları çözmede en etkin yol olarak görülmektedir. Bu çerçevede önleyici çevre yönetimi ve temiz üretim uygulamaları önem kazanmaktadır. Anahtar Kelimeler: Temiz Üretim, Endüstriyel kirlilik, Eko-verimlilik
