GENÇ YETİŞKİNLERİN SİYASAL KİMLİKLERİNİN İKİ -DÖNGÜLÜ KİMLİK BİÇİMLENMESİ MODELİ BAĞLAMINDA İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

Bu araştırmada, genç yetişkinlerin siyasal alandaki ve genel düzeydeki kimlik
biçimlenmesi, “İki-Döngülü Kimlik Biçimlenmesi Modeli” bağlamında incelenmiştir.
Araştırma grubu, İstanbul’da yaşayan 25 ile 35 yaşları arasındaki 988 genç
yetişkinden oluşmuştur. Genç yetişkinler siyasal alanda kimlik statülerine “Genişletilmiş
Objektif Ego Kimlik Statüsü Ölçeği-2 (EOM-EIS-2)”nin “Siyasal Alan Alt Ölçeği” kullanılarak
gruplanmışlardır. Genel düzeydeki kimlik biçimlenmesi “Kimlik Gelişiminin
Boyutları Ölçeği (DIDS)” ile ölçümlenmiştir. Siyasal alanda askıya alınmış
kimlik statüsünün en fazla katılımcıyı içeren kimlik statüsü grubu olduğu
belirlenmiştir. Genç yetişkinlerin genel kimlik düzeyinde en fazla içsel
yatırımda bulunma ve seçenekleri genişlemesine araştırma süreçlerini
yaşadıkları görülmüştür. Siyasal alanda başarılı kimlik statüsünde olan
katılımcıların diğer kimlik statüsü gruplarındaki katılımcılara kıyasla genel
düzeyde daha fazla içsel yatırımda bulundukları belirlenmiştir. Diğer kimlik
statüsü gruplarına kıyasla, ipotekli kimlik statüsü grubunun içsel yatırımları
ile daha fazla özdeşleştiği ve dağınık kimlik statüsü grubunun seçeneklerini
daha fazla saplantılı olarak araştırdığı bulunmuştur. Araştırmanın bulguları
“Kimlik Statüsü Yaklaşımı”, “İki-Döngülü Kimlik Biçimlenmesi Modeli” ve kimlik
çalışmaları ile ilişkili olarak tartışılmıştır.
